Responsibilities You will be preparing coffee drinks and food for customers while creating a friendly and hospitable atmosphere Greet all customers with a friendly smile; provide friendly, efficient, and personal service to each customer Take food and drink orders; understand the food and beverage menu in order to provide the best possible description and execution of menu items to your guests Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the coffee preparation process, including specialty drinks Accurately and efficiently enter orders into POS system Clear and reset counters and tables at the conclusion of each guest visit Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures Manage inventory levelsfor coffee beans, foodproducts, syrups, milks, cups, lids, packaging, merchandise, cleaningsupplies, and other materials. Monitor usage anddemandto determine whenproducts need to be reordered andhelp prevent bothshortages and excessinventory. Place and coordinateorderswith manager andsuppliers. Organize inventory storageareasso products areeasy to locateand properly rotated. Track product expirationand freshness, using FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices whereappropriate. Keep track of spending with the Inventory Budget sheet and communicate all orders with manager Forecast inventory needsbased on salestrends, seasonality, promotions, and growth. Work with suppliersto address latedeliveries, shortages,damaged products, orquality concerns. Train or overseeemployeeswho participate incounting, receiving, stocking, and inventory procedures. Maintain food-safetyand storage standards, particularly for food, dairy, and otherperishable products. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to count, record, and reconcile inventory Strong communication skills Reliability, accountability, and a high level of attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize competing needs. Ability to work independently while coordinating with manager and team. Recognize how to deliver excellent customer service Able to maintain composure in a hectic, high-energy work environment Possess outstanding communication abilities No prior experience necessary Maintain constant and regular attendance and punctuality, whether or not a suitable accommodation is provided. Base wage is between $13.50 and $15.00 per hour depending on experience.
